European football competitions

Europe is the birthplace of football. But the continent is vast and to manage the practice of football in Europe, FIFA has established the UEFA or Union of European Football Associations. It was in 1954 that different countries agreed to create this association and set up continental football competitions. The most famous of them is certainly the Champions League also known as the Champions League.

Leagues and Cups in Europe

The football competitions in Europe are subdivided into two big categories:

National professional and amateur club football organized by the federations of each country such as URBSFA (Belgian Cups and Championships of the RBFA)
Football leagues and cups of clubs and national teams organized by UEFA
